3.0 Stars without mods, 4.0 Stars with mods

The HT60 replaced the Dragunov style polymer stock that I had on my 80's era Marlin 60 (18 rounds, last shot hold open). That older stock simply didn't fit me and the HT60 looks (and is) much better.

I could do without the choices in the buttstock pivoting, pistol grip pivoting, and movement of the rail since I personally find them all necessary. I would have engineered it to be more "fixed" with fewer sizing options and plastic pieces. I also don't like finger indexes on my AR grips, but these are minor gripes.

The number one issue is the sliding buttstock. The fit is terrible. It's the single reason this review isn't ranked higher. It's a noisy, sloppy mess. Sorry HT60 guys, but it's really bad. The great news is that it's super easy to fix. The thickness of (2) 3" strips of electrical tape on the top of the plastic buffer tube was the perfect amount of friction to silence the rattles but still maintain perfect usability of the adjustable stock; and it's invisible for the most part. To solve this, I suspect the I.D. of the stock needs to be decreased or the O.D. of the tube needs to be increased.

Even with the buttstock issue, would I buy it again? Yes, I would. It looks great.

    doubles the value

Posted by ugean on Nov 25th 2017

This stock creates so much value for these old glenfields. I know you can buy a new gun for the same price but not with the options and value this stock gives it. The gun never fit me as a kid then I out grew it in my teenage years. Now with the telescopting stock my own son is learning to shoot on this same gun and it fits him great. Then I just extend the stock and it fits me too. The pistol grip makes it so sturdy. Pic rails are a nice touch too as I'm sure my kid will put all kinds of stuff on there. Well worth the $150

    Color Me Pleased.

Posted by theBEAR on Jun 23rd 2017

Quickly shipped and arrived in just about a week. Packaged well and the product arrived with all the pieces intact. Took about 30 minutes to assemble anyplace my Glenfield 60 in it's new stock. I gave it 4 stars because of buffer tube extension seemed thin and the adjustable stock seems a little cheesy also. Other wise quite pleased with it over all and the price is right also. A good modification to my old .22 .

Great upgrade for older Marlin Glenfield 60

Posted by Jojo on Apr 19th 2017

Inherited Marlin 60 from my dad who recently passed away. I wanted to update the rifle and also preserve the wood stock in case I wanted to display the rifle later on. This was the perfect solution.

Steve was very helpful before purchase and once ordered, the HT60 was shipped quickly. Install was a very easy especially following the online video. Going to the range tomorrow morning to see how she performs.

Traded the old walnut stock for the Ht60.

Posted by Alan on Apr 16th 2017

The Ht60 fit the marlin 60 perfectly. Watching the instructional video while doing the conversion made it easy. Pivoting hunting tactical combat stock makes the use of iron sights more comfortable than the traditional stock. The dove rail on the rifle mounted my scope and the addition of the adjustable picitiny rail system adds to what my rifle can now do. Bipods and lasers are easily mounted. Parts are well made and every screw was accounted for. The shipping was surprisingly fast. I will definitely be enjoying this for years to come !! Good job HT!!

    very nice upgrade

Posted by Jon Harvey on Apr 12th 2017

Over all a very nice product. One item I thought was marginal was the fit of the buffer tube in the butt stock. Mine has a lot of wiggle although the function is good, just sloppy. Also my barrel/receiver didn't fit into the main stock very easily and when I finally got it screwed in there was a lot of pressure on the feed tube to the point it was difficult to pull it out to load ammo. I filed out some of the first two braces and this solved the problem. I should add that my model 60 was purchased in the early 90's so there might have been some slight differences in the receiver/barrel size. Perhaps an addition would be to offer a butt pad. I realize the .22lr doesn't have much kick but adding a butt pad would beat putting the hard plastic to your shoulder.

Not so good for the old Gelfield 75c

Posted by Unknown on Mar 8th 2017

I like the stock overall. Here is the issue on the old Glenfield 75c. One you put the rifle in the new stock you can not load the magazine through the port. The fore grip of the stock covers about 75% of it. The other thing that kind of put me off was the fact that there are no less then 4 emblems on the stock. To me a little overkill. I was also suprised that you had to assemble the 6 position butt stock. Now for the good stuff, it has a great feel, good fit doesn't rattle around a bunch. It makes the venerable marlin mich more shooter friendly given the different lengths of pull.

Hunting Tactical: We're sorry you had issues with your stock. Thank you for letting us know the troubles you ran into. If you are dissatisfied we will process a full refund for you. We have modified the product listing to accommodate your feedback while we research the model 75c specifically.

    HT60 Stock Rocks!

Posted by John McKean on Mar 1st 2017

Fit and finish are excellent. Works exactly as advertised. The online assembly video was way better than paper instruction.

this is the only stock of its type on the market (that I could find)

    Great Product

Posted by Russell Williams on Feb 28th 2017

I love the look and functionality of the HT60. The finished product with my 25 capacity mag looks like a real tactical weapon (not a 22 cal) One item I would like to be better is from where the trigger is to the end of the stock there is about a 3/16th of a downward bend. The end of the stock is about 1/8th of an inch from the barrel. I purchased 3 and have only installed one. My sons will do the other 2 on their model 795s. Mine is also a 795. The 3 boxes arrived and I was like a kid again. Opened the box and was surprised as to the great packaging and the GREAT lighted hat. Even my wife thought is was cool. Thanks for the HT60 and the extra goodies. I will tell others about the product.

    I'm giving it five

Posted by William Keener on Feb 28th 2017

Okay, they say "hunger makes the best sauce"...And I really wanted to modify the Model 60. Especially after owning and putting too much dough in a 10/22. To be short, I'd pay $150 for this in a minute. The fit and finish isn't $500 furniture. But so what. It's very close to a perfect fit. And almost infinitely adjustable. Hats off to Steve and crew for the hat, the incredible packing job, and the design. Haven't shot it yet. It came today and in fifteen minutes was on the Marlin. A little swearing. At myself, not at HT. I'm proud to do business with honest folks. And, I really like the HT60's look on the SS Model 60.
